Gary Halleen
President & Chief Executive Officer

Gary Halleen has thirty years of experience in information, technology, and back office automation - beginning with his service in the U.S. Navy that provided training in advanced electronics, 10 years with the 3M Company, where he was responsible for numerous new product launches. Throughout the 1970s, he was actively involved with various new information management products under 3M's "Office of the Future" initiative.

He founded Com Squared Systems, Inc. in 1980, one of the first companies to develop software for storing computer data and images on optical disk. This technology was sold to clients to automate back office processes. As a result of the significant market potential, Com Squared was acquired in 1994.

Looking for a new challenge, Halleen subsequently founded API Outsourcing, Inc. (API) in 1998. Since then, API has grown to become a leading outsourcing provider of information processes through a combination of technology and labor arbitrage for document management, billing and accounts payable for Middle Market and Fortune 1000 firms.

Halleen received a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska.

Richard Yee
Executive Vice President, Finance & Administration

Richard Yee brings more than twenty years of corporate financial and legal experience, including expertise in license and distribution agreements, technology management, and outsourcing to his position as Executive Vice President Finance & Administration. In this capacity, Yee is responsible for finance, administration, human resources, and legal matters. Previously, he was CFO and Vice President of Administration for Com Squared Systems, Inc. Yee also practiced business law and provided support to a number of corporate clients.

Yee received his Juris Doctorate degree from the William Mitchell College of Law; and a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.

Howard Latham
Executive Vice President, Client Care and Product Management

As Executive Vice President, Client Care and Product Management. Howard Latham is responsible for, product management and client care. As a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Latham leads the company's quality initiatives. He is the former CEO of VISTAinfo, a publicly traded outsourcing and technology provider for the real estate and financial services industries. Prior to VISTAinfo, Latham led the effort to transform a division of Moore Corporation from a print provider to an Internet-based solutions provider. Additionally, Latham spent 18 years with IBM in a variety of enterprise sales and technical leadership roles. During his last position with IBM, Latham led product management activities for the Enterprise and Network Computing Group.

Latham received a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Lehigh University.

Gary Dion
Vice President, Engineering and Development

Gary Dion leads the software systems development and information technology organization, and the associated initiatives to provide ever increasing service capability and quality to API's customers and partners. Dion brings more than 20 years experience in a variety of executive and technical management positions for companies including Unisys, Compuware, and Ceridian. His responsibilities have spanned startup to mature, internationally distributed product development operations. Dion's formal training and education includes extensive leadership/management, executive, organizational development, technical, and quality/process coursework, along with a BA from Hofstra University.

Kirk Dresen
Vice President, Operations

Kirk Dresen, with 20 years of industry experience, has overall responsibility for the Company's Service Delivery Centers. The staff operates in numerous shifts to deliver the quick turnaround and expected economies of scale. The self-maintained facilities utilize state-of-the-art production equipment to support the combined print/mail/scanning services, including Xerox printers and Bell & Howell inserters. Over 200 million transactions are processed annually through these facilities, which have capacity to double that through-put amount on short notice. Dresen previously was a managing partner at Laser Net, a print and mail outsourcing company. He also spent ten years with Xerox in various technology support positions.

Joe Hess
Manager, Information Technology

Joe Hess is responsible for API's technical infrastructure, connectivity needs, corporate services, data security, production, and test environments.æ Before joining API, Hess worked at UNISYS for eight years and at Com Squared Systems, Inc. in various Information Technology and client management leadership roles.

Hess has an MBA from Drake University; and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Laros University.

Joe Mullen
Manager, Development

Joe Mullen brings over sixteen years of experience in creative problem solving in challenging commercial software environments to his role as API's Application Development Manager. Mullen's expertise is in the analysis, design, and delivery of network-based software applications using SQL/client server systems and Java, N-tier, Web-based systems. He leads the development teams that include designers, developers, testers and technical writers. Prior to API, Mullen was Chief Technology Officer at FLEXSTOR and development director at Rorke Data Software Services Division.

Mullen has an MBA in Marketing from the University of Minnesota; and a bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota.

Jim Barry
Manager, Service Delivery Center

Jim Barry has over 25 years experience in industrial management. He is responsible for the Service Delivery Center located in northern Minnesota that processes millions of documents into electronic images. This Delivery Center operates 24 hours a day with multiple shifts. The self-maintained facility utilizes state-of-the-art production equipment to support its Service Deliveries. Prior to joining API, Barry was a Plant Manager for Minnesota Diversified Industries, where he led his Grand Rapids plant and achieved ISO certification. Barry has a strong history of building teams, improving processes and reducing costs for customers.

Barry received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
